  • title it worlds fastest exploit run.... this is pathetic

  • This is the most pathetic way of playing a game, why is thi even considered a speed run if this guy literally skippe the entire levels

  • They were so chill about it, not even angry about him technically exploiting

  • 18:38 - The next game will be an elevator simulator xD

  • PUT THE PURPLE SLUDGE IN THE SKY that got me crying

  • They sound so hurt

  • Wholesome 100000

  • "Play the game it was meant to be played." You're the one who put the bugs in the game; that means it's the way the game is meant to be played.

  • Next doom confirmed atleast

  • Doom devs are the devs we all need for our favorite games

  • Aye

  • me when going to tesco during lockdown

  • reminds me of halo 2 super bounces on multiplayer maps hahahaha getting sniped out of nowhere from above

  • Funniest devs lol

  • Lol when he went in the "secret room" and it made the Devs laugh 19:40

  • red

  • Next game has a 2-hour unskippable Developer Commentary cutscene in the sky

  • you can patch them but leave them possibility to return to older version where they can do bug exploits

  • I'm really curious how speedrunners manage to find these exploits. Like, do they just run around doing random stuff and hope something happens? How????

  • So we just gonna ingore how perfectly timed 23:24 was

  • These developers are freaking chill

  • Put a random chance for the elevator to stop for a minute lol

  • 2:15 dont worry dev, there is a speed running section for that. It says, glitchless speedrun.

  • why does one of the Devs sound like Technoblade

  • Red

  • Before beating this game and knowing abt the franchise I saw this and was like "oh cool"..now I'm totally amazed looking at this

  • You guys gotta get them to react to a 100% nightmare run. They’ll LOVEEE it

  • now it's sub 20

  • ‘This guy made the purple sludge.’ Me: ‘I hate him as a person, already.’

  • I'm never a fan of speedruns that use exploits

  • I love the devs sense of humor

  • It's seriously hard for these guys to give credit to the speedrunner at work here. Just face it, he found tons of loopholes in a game YOU created, and that's the bottom line. welcome to the world of speedrunning.

  • that one guy keeps speaking at the exact wrong times every time

  • red

  • Gotta love the Devs' reaction and feedback/ output thinking of the community's reaction over it. We have to respect their mentality.

  • The thin porch revealingly spoil because ticket synthetically wander plus a clammy actress. skillful, disagreeable error

  • Honestly do nothing.

  • not a real speed run if you run outside the intended game area :) failure run!

  • devs just invite these speed runners to your studios for a day and learn what's going on

  • All done before, Duke Nukem 3d had messages hidden all over it that you should not have been able to see. One litterally said if you can read this you are cheating.

  • Wait they working on another game

  • 1:54 "WHAT?" That reaction was genuinely wholesome and surprising i love it

  • Red

  • R e d

  • "why didn't he watch the cutscene?? :( "

  • "see! elevators, the downfall of speed running1!!111!!!!!1!1!" turning a 26:56 run into a 27:09 run

  • This video puts a smile on my face.

  • damnn these developers are chill af "we should put the purple sludge in the sky too" "we should stop the elevator and msg box pop up haha " " we should put a unskipable cutscene" 😂😂😂 mann

  • they actually planning to troll a speed runner lmao

  • Why do speedruns done with exploits and glitches count? What’s the skill in using an exploit other then maybe a little bit of practice to get the glitch going? Is it not considered cheap within the speedrunning community? Even one of the devs agrees. Completing it the right away as it’s meant to be played is way more impressive.

    • If you want to see someone completing it "the right way" watch a 100% nmg speedrun

    • The point is to finish the game the quickest way possible (ANY%) there are a few categories in most games that dont allow people to go out of bounds like inbounds% etc. This is just any%.

    • how they find these exploit theough sheer gameplaying is speedrunning itself.

  • honestly I wouldnt patch it but if you do definetly leave out an option to revert the patches

  • 29:44 Red. Top right.

  • It's like listening to people's soul die

  • Putting an unskippable cutsence or rickroll hidden in the skybox would be hilarious

  • react? more like butthurt

  • theres a whole devs

  • Please don’t fix the jump bug. Just mess with people who jump over the map

  • 16:13 jesus look at him go

  • their reactions and minds being blown is epic lol (what what? whats happening?! how?) lol

  • they must feel so mad because they spent SO MUCH TIME designing these beautiful levels and he skips 80% every time he enters one. i love this game though.

  • Their fix was to put invisible walls everywhere

  • All that would likely happen if you fixed it is they'd create a new category for post-patch lol

  • Nobody wants bugs fixed. Just think about the removal from blj’s in super mario 3d all stars. No one wants those gone

  • The thing is, speed runners will run find files to allow them to take versions of the game and speed run what they want. So yes speed runners are okay with devs making fixes. However people are clever and will find other exploits.

  • I love speedruns, but if it involved some bugs or glitches that allow you to skip a bunch of stages or areas, its just not fun anymore

  • 19:54 their minds were soo blown haha

  • bet there were scripts used...

  • "Why don't you beat the game fast playin it the right way. That would be more impressive." A lot of speedrunners do this after they have already done that.

  • Most devs: "Man, I should probably fix that. It's a pretty game braking bug." Id software: *_THERE WILL BE SLUDGE IN THE SKIES_*

  • What a badass developers has this game cheers to them.

  • This was the absolute best - these lads are hilarious :)

  • "I kinda wonder do they write down how many attempts they've done" (I mean outside of learning yeah, look at the top right of the split timer)

  • Unskippable rickroll in the skybox is a hilarious idea

  • Lmao the people in runner's chat calling for a devs react

    • (Red to that one person)

  • Unskipable cut scene in the sky that is a timer laughing

  • I would say update it but allow players to access previous version in-game

  • I really know how the hell someoen goes “you know what. That corner looks like Itll glitch me in the air

  • Doom Eternal is so cumbersome to play

  • wow these people are awesome just by hearing how they tackle this sort of stuff.

  • Speedrunners should be beta testers.

  • The disillusioned hail unsurprisingly excite because look thoracically tire into a fancy rubber. able, wiry hovercraft

  • I don’t even play this game, but this video was amazing. I love the developers reactions to this

  • Speed runners find intentional exploits and are a tiny community. From what I have seen, and I am not one of them, they like the even playing field and they like the challenge of cracking a new puzzle and finding a new exploit. I don't think fixing the exploits is the way to go, rather maybe hiding easter eggs behind them.

  • red

  • I love how much the devs are enjoying watching this lol. It’s great to hear them crack up at the insanity

  • 100% agree. No respect for speed runs which exploit bugs and glitches

  • They cant tell if they like it or hate it

  • It's time to rename "speedrunners" to "BUGrunners". This would make more sense.

  • I like how one of them starts out a bit salty but ends up really respecting the runner. I know it kinda hurts to see all the beautiful stuff you made skipped, but the runners played through it, you can be sure of it. They played the game SO much to get to this point.

  • red

  • Speedrunners will just use the version that has the bug.

  • Answering the devs, I'm no speedrunner, but as far as I know the runs don't turn invalid when the exploits are fixed, usually speedruns take the game version into account and some speedrunners even run an older version of that game in order to beat a previous record. So X person can be the fastest on Y version of that game. Difficulty and the use of exploits are also taken into consideration so for each game there's many different ways to do it.

  • It’d be cool if there was a special demon that detects speed runners and ambushes them as they’re clipping around stages.

  • The guy broke the game in less than 30 seconds.

  • “Red”

  • Why don’t you fix the bugs lmao

  • game details like true life ... little things can do a lot of differences

  • i to young to die

  • That's why the game awesome because developers are cool duds i mean they have sense of humor like look we should do that to speed runners that will be funny
