  • These are the kind it channels I like. No whining. No politics. No toxic anger. Just information and good topics. Thank you!!!

  • The best graphics are the graphics that look the closest to what the artist envisioned. That's why most realistic graphics will always fail.

  • Y’all need to start putting the lesser version on the left side of the split. Most of your viewers are English readers (left to right). Also, used to BEFORE AND AFTER images, where the BEFORE is on the left hand side and AFTER is on the right.

  • I stopped watching when you guys mentioned cyberpunk 1997 as the #1 game for graphics. What a joke.

  • Cyberpunk haha what a fucking joke

  • Some things at CP2077 are impressive but the lack of polished physics, interaction, ai ruin a lot of the immersion because you expect all that things in a real looking world. ... my first place goes to fs2020 in VR ...hope they optimize their multicore performance!

  • If cyberpunk had just launched on PC, ps5, and xbox series, they would have been much better off. They could have just ported the last gen later when it was ready and dodged the PR disaster.

  • Demon souls still holds up after all these years

  • Cyberpunk 😐

  • 2 number 9s

  • Minecraft is 16x16 though.. idk about the RTX version, but I bet it won't be any different

  • Systemic lighting system. So a lighting system system . ? Member when...... oh i member ...

  • Cyberpunk 2077 on the top list is the biggest joke. even on PC graphics are shit. the water don't look like water. interaction is bad

  • #1 Cyberpunk 2077...lol MSFS is my number 1. It's the only game that was released in 2020 that really looks like next-gen. Demon Souls remake was a closed 2nd, but I wouldn't mind giving it to TLOU part II.

  • Rdr2 is still the best

  • Doom Eternal should be number 1 and anything else is bullshit. Most optimized, best looking game i've ever played.

  • So No AC Valhalla? Not even as a Honorable Mention!

  • Rdr2 wins 3rd year in row

  • It's nice to hear you guys defend CD Projekt, saying that people shouldn't be surprised as those kind of performances happened before, on ps3 and 360. But, come one! They went out and shouted that the console versions were running surprisingly well. They showed a "console version" of gameplay that didn't have any siginificant drop in frames, or weird bugs. They said they were using the time they had to polish the game and release something great on day one. They advertised everywhere, selling preorders of deluxe and collectors editions for whopping prices. They never actually showed the console versions during this entire time to the specialised press and did not send copies of the console versions for reviews just to cash more preorders. And then they release that piece of crap! And you say "well blame yourself if you're playing on console, you what it has been like since forever....". That is outrageous.

  • You all do such wonderful work breaking all of the factors down!

  • Am I the only one who thinks Legion looks way better than 2077??

  • even though i dont really like the last of us 2 games. but i think the graphical presentation is really good. cyberpunk kind a meh. the animation is weird

  • The Last of Us 2 is by far the best looking game ever. RDR 2 is very good aswell but the hyperrealistic and detailed textures, lighting etc, TLoU 2 looks just mindblowing

  • I am surprised Metro Exodus did not made it to the list including the honorable mentions. I believe that overall it is better looking than Ghost of Tsushima.

  • Weird list. Many of the games isnt impressive graphical wise. Blocks with RT isnt good graphics. Its shitty graphics with reflections. Same can somewhat be said with Doom. Its shitty graphics, on steroids. Anything can look decent in 4k, 120 frames. Will of WIsps is good looking, but its graphics we have seen in Trine 2 nine years ago. Only running in 4k, 120 frames.

  • lol demon souls 6th place? you must be blind

  • Gears 5? Hive busters? Not even a mention?

  • I just watched whole video and hoped there will be more, but than I have realised that 50 mins has passed... woow

  • Very enjoyable vídeo 👍🏻

  • To play everything on this list, including the honourable mentions you need a powerful PC, VR kit and a PS5/4. Graphics aren’t everything, and I hate to be That Guy, but if you’re buying one console, who in their right mind is buying an Xbox at this point?

  • I’m gaming on switch. Thanks for looking out.

  • I can't believe they're even mentioning FF7; I dare you to try & get a non-digitized horrible looking screen shot of that piece of crap, but then again they're pumpin minecraft in a best graphics list...this whole ordeal has zero credibility. But the fact that the super shiny flagship next gen launch game Demon Souls got beat out by a bunch of other games says a lot about how ready this gen was for launch, (not to mention all the system updates they're having to put out).

  • Is there anyway you can do a comparison between Cold War Xbox one x 120hrz vs series x 120hrz?

  • Alex's little giggle at 23:53 = Gold!

  • Ori Will of the Wisps now has a display mode of 6K supersampled to 4K output-(I assume), AT 120 FPS. It's a shame that most console gamers won't get to experience this any time soon. I only just found an Xbox Series X last week to pair with my 77" LG CX OLED. Holy Glowing Bawlzzz!! I was absolutely jaw-dropped at how flawless and smooth the new consoles perform when well optimized. I'm sure this has been beat to death, as I am late to this vid, but thought I'd share as a thread-bump.

  • Ps5 wins in everything as usual lol

  • CP2077 isn't the best looking game I've played on PS4 this year but it still looks really good when it isn't bugging out, and it's one of my favourite games this generation.

  • CP is the best but You missed AC Valhalla definitely can blow anybody away .. Its should be in the mentions but in d list .. Damn too great looking story' of mediaeval age culture game ..

  • Fair enough. A console took the number 2 spot. I expected cyberpunk to make it to number 1. I have a ps5 and can enjoy the game more than base consoles. You can’t deny though watching a 4k full ray tracing gameplay cyberpunk looks amazing. Hoping we get a nice upgrade on next gen consoles.

  • Gears kills all those games =) maybe except flight simulator & CP2077

  • THE LAST OF US 2 GOTY 2020!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! TLOU2 GOTY 2020!!!!!! TLOU2 GOTY 2020!!!!!! CYBERBUG 2077 NUMBER ONE????? HAHAHAHHAHAHHAHAHHAAAAAAHAHAHAAA.....HAHAHHAHAAAAAAA

  • Why wasnt ac valhalla and wd legion on this. Not even an honorable mention. You must be blind.

  • Glad to see FF7 mentioned.

  • RDR2 still looks better than anything out there

  • I think cyberpunk looks bland

  • Cyberpunk 2077 #1? Seriously?

  • Best looking games of 2020 and can only stream at 1080p....

  • Ghost of Tsushima is the best game ever made

  • To many biast pc reviewers who don't play consoles is sickining

  • Just finished CP2077 on a high-end PC and currently halfway through TLoU2 on PS5 - i must admit, though the story is meh, i enjoy the graphics of Last of Us much more.

  • The fk sonyer Linneman.

  • Valhalla should at least get a mention. Show me a better looking game with more lush and vibrant greenery. Yeah, it doesnt have ray tracing, but what it does have looks incredible

  • Shame Spiderman is a glorified DLC sold at full price.... but graphics are amazing

  • xbox owns the developers behind DOOM , so no excuses for HALO infinite i guess

  • Alex is at the actual foundry once again

  • Alex - look up Noita, it's also a very unique rendering.

  • "HL:Alynx uses motion matching, you can see that on combine soldiers" show a clip of combine soldier being shot from up close and he flips like a looney toons character. hahahah Well Alex - that was unfortunate. Also - as a 3D artist, Alex: AI driven doesn't mean it's not made by people, AI populates based of assets made by hand (assets being both 3D assets and even the advanced algorithms)

  • The amount of hrs spent on Lastofus2 has a name: crunch, John. Crunch.

  • Sup

  • I have to agree. Cyberpunk looks crazy good on a Monster-Rig😻

  • if i see minecraft rtx i wanna buy minecraft and a 3000$ pc. i hate you nvidia.

  • I wish Demon Souls to be ported to pc someday.

  • Recreating goldeneye in Teardown....

  • Thanks, guys. Great video.

  • At 19:27 Joel and Ellie seem arguing. I don't remember this cutscene, I've checked in a longplay but couldn't find it. It drives me crazy. Can someone help please ? :)

  • Was this video done before Gears 5 Hivebusters? Or did it not get a mention because its DLC? *cough cough* Mile Morales...

  • Played cp2077 on my Ps5. Runs smooth and makes a lot of fun. I hope they will go fully on the real ps5 version.

  • Demons Souls, The Last of Us 2 and Spider Man Miles Morales are all garbage

  • Red Dead coming out on PC is easily the best looking game I have ever seen.

    • nope cp77 looks thousand times better. not even in the same ballpark

  • I hope HDR gets some legitimate reasons to be used because it always makes the game look drab and washed out for me. Edit: Sorry, but CP2077 looks like ass

  • That Cyberpunk pick for 1st place is not going to age well.

  • Watch dogs legion in London with the vibrant colors in the graffiti on the walls of building hundreds of years old in London is amazing. The entire detail of London on PS5 using HDR is incredible.

  • Longest AR-one video i watched in a while. Great selection, hope you post a lot of content this year! New gen people need you!

  • Dreams is such an underrated game, i hope this will change in the future!

  • Thank you guys for the amazing content! Every year it gets better and better!

  • 32:26 > fantastic looking package Thanks man you too

  • Soul patch has to go

  • terrible list

  • Interesting how people are so impressed with the visuals of the 'Demon's Souls' remake. To me, it looks like one of those fake games in a movie or something. Ironically it looks kind of soulless, unlike 'Bloodborne' or "Sekiro" for instance. - To be honest, most of the (other) Souls-games have a kind of "generic" look to them. But honestly, this game... It looks bland and basic to me. - That's not to say it looks bad or unpolished, but I suppose the art-direction might lacking compared to the tech. I feel like it was at home on the PS3 and when you convert it to current graphics is just shows its blandness or whatever, even though it's a remake. - Just being honest.

  • Man, every time someone talks about the release of CyberPunk I just think "What a mess..." and shake my head in disbelief. It's baffling, but just not worth getting upset about anymore. - It's unbelievable how that happened. And I'm not even that invested in the game. Won't buy it until it's done anyway.

  • 3:21 *nerdgasm*

  • People still acting like Minecraft is easy to run... XD

  • The new artstyle in demon’s souls is so frustrating. Please, Bluepoint, stay away from bloodbourne.

  • Sorry I dont see how Cyberpunk gets number 1 here. I played Watch Dogs Legion immediately after Cyberpunk and it is visually superior. But for this list I personally put TLOU2 as the first and Cyberpunk much lower.

    • @i CrY Just because Cyberpunk is a new aesthetic doesnt make it any less generic than Legion is. They both use the same old GTA open world formula of having many buildings, but only a handful of them are interactive and can be entered. I dont see that as being the "most complex city to date" by any means. Does Cyberpunk have full dynamic weather like Red Dead 2? No. Do the NPCs react to the city's surroundings properly? No. They dont even even put up umbrellas when its raining. How's the traffic? A shitshow. And the only leisure activity you can do in the city is bang a hooker. Night City may look pretty but its so dumb and lifeless. It takes more than just tall 3D buildings with cool textures to build a complex city. TLOU2, while a linear game, has many large open sections with a staggering amount of attention to detail and graphical simulations. Dynamic things like how lighting, shadows, snow, grass, mud, water react to the surrounding objects and player's movements are some of the most realistic in any game to date. Only Red Dead 2 came close. Cyberpunk is far off and couldnt even hold a candle to what Rockstar can do when it comes to building complex an open world game. Let alone a city.

    • Legion with that generic world doesn't even come close to cyberpunk. TLOU is a static linear game. While Cyberpunk is a open world dynamic RPG with the most complex city to date.

    • I've never seen a game so visually inconsistent. It goes from breathtaking to downright awful.

  • A video on best graphics of the decade is a must.

  • Real time lighting is so good. If you haven't played The Division 2 with Real Time enabled you haven't played the game. With all the little light sources and what not it looks so fucking good. Only down side is day is a little greyer for some reason but you get used to it in a few hours.

  • The virgin "bespoke" vs the chad "you know."

  • And all the idiots saying cyberpunk 2077 has PlayStation two graphics. It aren’t the games fault it’s the console. People are so dumb. Wanting PC graphics on PS4 and Xbox one 😂😂

  • Alex, easy with the "you know", you know? You know.

  • Doom eternal has a lifeless static world with no deformable objects or advanced physics , of coarse its going to perform well , similar to titanfall

  • John had my curiousity, but at this time stamp he earned my respect 38:37.

  • You failed to mention that there is no PS5/Xbox Series versions of CP2077 yet. They're using the PS4/Xbox One versions in BC mode. Obviously running the PS4 Pro mode on PS5 BC and Xbox One X mode on Xbox Series X, but no RT or other newer graphics techniques that last gen versions couldn't do. Will be interesting to see how they run natively on the new consoles. Wonder if it will be a 30fps RT quality mode and 60fps perf mode with no RT. The BC last gen versions can run in 60 but obviously look lacking.

  • Digital Foundry Presents: Best Game Graphics of 2020 - presented in GLORIOUS 1080p. If there was ONE video where 4K resolution for the video was an absolute must, it was this one...

  • Dodging the bullet, by making this list about graphics DF managed to gloss over the disaster that is CP2077. How can Minecraft be on this list when on the one hand you say it has RTX and looks beautiful while in the same breath claim it looks like its straight out of the 80's?

  • I'm planning to play cyberpunk on my dual core i3 7100 and my 1660 super. Wish me luck.

  • Ghost of Tsuhima should have been #2 on the list.

  • Have a Happy New Year, guys!

  • Playing cyberpunk 2077 on a 5900x 3090 and yes it looks absolutely amazing

  • 25:55 looks legitimately photorealistic

  • and remember, 5 years ago Batman Arkham Knight has the opposite story from Cyberpunk 2077. Impressive visuals and performance on consoles but it ran horribly on PC to the point the game was pulled from Steam.
